 Before the Flame Goes Out New York Cesar Chelala As our world is once again drenched in blood from another conflict one may ask: Where are the Gandhis, the Martin Luther King Jrs. the Mandelas the Eleanor Roosevelts the Mother Teresas of our time-- those who pitted kindness against brutality, justice against arbitrariness, compassion against callousness, some of whom paid the ultimate price for their beliefs? We need them; we desperately need them now, for the candle of peace is burning down too fast.
