Sydney-Middle East Times Int'l: Parramatta has taken top honours in the fitness industry, with Parramatta Aquatic Centre’s (PAC) health club named Health Club of the Year for its inclusive programs, member experience and focus on community wellbeing at the NSW Aquatic & Recreation Institute (ARI) Awards.
The award recognises PAC’s broader approach to combining fitness, wellbeing and community connection to support a healthier and more active community.
City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Cameron MacLean said the award reflected the work of staff to create an inclusive and supportive environment for the community.
“This award is a fantastic recognition of our team’s commitment to creating a welcoming place where people can get active, connect with others and achieve their health and wellbeing goals,” Cr MacLean said.

“A great health club is about more than exercise. It’s about giving people the support, confidence and connection they need to make positive changes to their health and wellbeing.
“Parramatta is one of the most diverse communities in Australia, and we’re proud to provide inclusive health and fitness opportunities that respond to the needs of people of different ages, backgrounds and abilities.”
The health club offers Reformer Pilates, yoga, aqua fitness, cycle, boxing and Les Mills classes, as well as personal training, small group training and fitness challenges.
Programs for older residents focus on healthy ageing, functional movement, balance and mobility, while creating opportunities for social connection.
The latest win builds on PAC’s recent awards success, following three wins at the ARI Awards in 2024 and 2025.
