Oman-UAE higher joint committee meet begins

MUSCAT: Stemming from the interest attached by the leaderships of the two brotherly countries in the light of the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said and Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan, and within the framework of the historic relations and joint cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), deliberations of the 18th session meeting of the Oman-UAE Higher Joint Committee began at the Al Bustan Palace Hotel on Wednesday. The Omani side was led by Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal bin Saud al Busaidy, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, whilst the UAE side was led by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed al-Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, with participation of a number of Ministers, officials and specialists from both sides. The two sides discussed means of enhancing cooperation in areas of common concern, particularly those related to the economic and trade aspects, as well as activating coordination on their regard to push them forward to wider horizon to serve interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples.
