EDITORIAL: The Lebanese people are left to their own destiny.
(See translation in Arabic section)
Sydney - Middle East Times Int’l: The world has abandoned Lebanon. There is no excuse for International Aid. Not helping is neglect from NATO. Our children suffer and the  World leaders do nothing.
International organizations pay displaced Syrian families in Lebanon more than $400 per month, with 100% insurance for hospital cards, water, electricity, accommodation and study expenses, and the rest of life’s requirements. UNRWA and other humanitarian organizations pay Palestinian refugees in Lebanon hundreds of thousands of dollars or hundreds of millions to enable them to live a decent life.
This is not right. The poor Lebanese have not a refugee card to be admitted to a hospital, while the Lebanese search through the garbage to eat. Many Lebanese die at the door of a hospital if he is unable to enter the paradise of the white family.
Children from Lebanon died because their families were unable to provide them with the price of milk or medicine. Old people do not know what afterlife awaits them, and some sleep under bridges and on the roads. We pray that we do not get sick because we do not have the money for medicine. Women selling themselves after blocking the way out of life. Children work the job of adults underground so that those above the ground do not see their misery. More than 70 percent of the Lebanese people are below the poverty line!
Lebanon has turned into a society of masters and slaves. Those who talk about them in their luxury cars in restaurants are expatriates and the 15 percent who are not affected by these conditions for a thousand and one reasons or are benefiting from the conditions. As for the rest of the people, and most of the Lebanese people, they suffer, even if they do not speak out. To preserve their dignity and self-esteem, under the most severe types of poverty and destitution.
Look at the thousands of people who sold their homes to educate their children. ask the goldsmiths’ shops, how many families sell their jewelers and their children’s jewelers every day to buy food with the money. Look at the advertisements on websites and the number of cars offered for sale, not for the purpose of trade.
Look at the websites how much home furniture is sold at the lowest prices to cover rent or food, look at the number of lands sold every day to continue life.  Even inheritance no longer has value. Previously, it remained a memory of parents and grandparents. Today everything is offered for sale to survive. Go into the homes and open the refrigerators. You know the extent of the tragedy.
Enter the schools and open the children’s “lunch box” with mostly oil and thyme, or plain bread, or water with sugar, and you will realize the tragedy. For God come on what people do to live?
Their savings were stolen in the banks, then the level of salaries decreased to the point that they were worth nothing, and new job opportunities did not exist, and at the same time everything was dollarized, so how can a citizen live with less than a salary of one hundred dollars and with $150 from the bank, and all the statistics indicate that the family needs a thousand dollars. At least monthly so that you can secure the minimum life without school or university tuition, which are most expensive in most of the most prestigious countries in the world?
* Where are the countries that talk about humanity, democracy, and the latest terms there...
* Where are the human rights organizations?
* Where are the United Nations?
* Where is the aid that they say comes to Lebanon, in whose name, and how is it distributed, if any?
* Where are the international associations and humanitarian organizations, and even where is the world regarding what is happening in Lebanon?
If there is a flood, earthquake, displacement, or famine, the Resurrection will occur, but if there is a usurpation of the rights and savings of an entire people, their impoverishment, starvation, despair, and the displacement of their youth, no one will move.
Please honorable international community, enter the homes of the poor, my country and the homes of the displaced or refugees’ people on our land and judge for yourselves after comparison, who wants more help and who needs more help...
Even education, books, stationery, professors, and classes are provided to them for free, and we, our children, are without education, universities, or scholarships because most families have become unable to pay the merciless tuition fees, whether in High schools or universities...
Check with your country's embassies and see the volume of immigration applications awaiting answers. One day the international community will wake up. This society, which built its glories on democracy, justice, and human rights and built statues for freedom and the dignity of peoples... will know how much sin it committed because of abandoning the Lebanese people who lost everything, and who they were tortured and buried in front of the people of the entire earth while they were alive!
They brought him to the bottom and cut off his lifelines. They stole his money in the banks, after they stole his dreams and his ability to rise. They stole his future and displaced his youth and talents to the ends of the world... And for those who remain, or for the majority of those who remain, they want a person to live on 9 million liras that he receives as a minimum, meaning less than 3 dollars a day... Can you believe it?
