Nassar: Yasmina’s victory is for every Lebanese woman who has remained steadfast 9/03/2024 (See translation in Arabic section) Sydney - Middle East Times Int’l: Caretaker Minister of Tourism Walid Nassar commented on Yasmina Zaytoun winning the title of first runner-up in the Miss World contest, considering that this win belongs to Yasmina and to every Lebanese woman, and it is a coincidence that it coincided with International Women’s Day, which the world celebrated yesterday. He pointed out that this victory is for every Lebanese woman who stood, fought, and resisted, and was stronger than the difficulties, crises, and events that Lebanon faced. Nassar stressed that Yasmina raised the name of Lebanon’s beauty, tourism, civilization and heritage. He said: "Yasmina's success is an incentive for Lebanon and every Lebanese girl, and it is also a great responsibility on the shoulders of Yasmina and with her all of Lebanon." Nassar added: "It is not an easy thing for a Lebanese beauty to be able to achieve this global victory for the first time since Georgina Rizk was elected Miss Universe in the seventies." It is noteworthy that Yasmina Zaytoun won the title of first runner-up for Miss World, as well as the title of Miss Asia and Oceania. |
