Mohamud of the Federal Republic of Somalia, and President Dr Ikililou Dhoinine of the Union of the Comoros, on the occasion of the safe return of His Majesty to the homeland.
In their cables, the leaders expressed their sincere greetings and that of the people of their countries, on this happy occasion, praying to the Almighty to give good health and continuous well-being to His Majesty the Sultan and bestow blessings of 280809

security, stability, peace and prosperity on the Sultanate and its people.
Dr Ahmed al Tayeb, Grand Shaikh of Al Azhar, congratulated His Majesty Sultan Qaboos on the safe return to the homeland, after an eight-month successful treatment in Germany.

In a statement issued in Cairo yesterday, he prayed to Allah to give good health, well-being and long life to His Majesty the Sultan for the good of the Arab and Islamic nations, and bestow blessings of continuous security, stability and prosperity on the Omani people.
Meanwhile, huge rallies were held in various parts of the Sultanate to celebrate the homecoming of His Majesty.

A large crowd of people from the Wilayat of Sohar took out a rally of loyalty and allegiance expressing their happiness over the return of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos.
The procession was taken out from the sea road until the historic Sohar Castle with jubilant participants holding the Sultanate’s flag and images of His Majesty and chanting patriotic songs in love of the nation and the visionary leader.

A joyous march took place in the Wilayat of Liwa with a large number of people gathering to express their joy and jubilation over the safe return of His Majesty the Sultan following his successful medical treatment in Germany.
The march was led by Dr Said bin Hameed al Harthi, Wali of Liwa, and attended by top government officials and dignitaries from the wilayat.

By Kabeer Yousuf — MUSCAT:March 25: Thousands of men and women, both citizens and expatriates, took out a rally on Sea Road in Muttrah on Wednesday marking one of the largest rally witnessed in recent times in the Sultanate. Men, women, children, elderly and even people on wheelchairs, joined the parade in large numbers waving Omani flags along the road declaring their solidarity with His Majesty the Sultan of Oman and prayed for his health and long life. As the setting Sun slowly painted a crimson aura on the horizon and the resplendent tides of Oman Sea shared the colour, the shores were filed with a sea of humans holding Oman’s tricolour flag and chanting — ‘Long live the Sultan’.

Roads to Muttrah were closed by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) earlier and traffic diverted to the Al Bustan area since 3pm. Those who kept His Majesty close to their heart dared the Sun and were waiting since 2pm to be a part of the rally that marked a new era in Oman history.
The local Governor of Muttrah had, in cooperation with the residents and the shopkeepers of Muttrah souq, arranged all the decorations and festoons early. Regular schools and institutions that taught Holy Quran were requested to send their wards to the parade and children of different origin poured in from all corners of the city whispering ‘Ya Qaboos; Our hearts with You’.
They marched from the Wali office through the Sea Road till the Muttrah Round About and returned to the origin where they showcased various art and cultural activities in love for His Majesty.

Our prayers have been with you”, Safaa Ahmed al Kamyani, a private sector employee cried.
“We are here today for the magnificent personality of His Majesty. May God bless you with abundant joy and happiness; with health and well-being.”, Navas Muttrah, who organised many people and decorations told the Observer.
“Our hearts are beating for you…for your health and happiness. Thank you our leader for teaching the meaning of giving. You are the one who taught us and our children how to be loyal and we remain loyal to you, Your Majesty. We ask God to protect you and to take care of you”, another participant Maisaa Khalfan al Abriya said.
