Gulf Popular Heritage Festival opens in Kuwait


KUWAIT-- Kuwaiti Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah opened the Sixth Gulf Popular Heritage Festival at Sabah Al-Ahmad Heritage Village on Friday.

Sheikh Ali Jarrah was welcomed to the venue by Advisor at Amiri Diwan and General Supervisor of the Village Mohammad Daifallah Sherar.

While inaugurating the annual event, the minister had a tour of the village's facilities and was briefed on its various activities.

Speaking to reporters, Sheikh Ali Jarrah, the head of the supreme committee of the village, said he was so happy to open this year's festival.

He regarded this project as a grift from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to the citizens, residents and guests of Kuwait, reflecting Kuwait's popular tradition.

In this context, he spoke highly of the great efforts of the village's supervisor Mohammad Daifallah Sherar and his distinguished team.
