Sydney - Middle East Times Int’l: The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced today, Saturday, the seizure of a ship linked to Israel in the Strait of Hormuz.

Iranian media said that the Revolutionary Guard stopped the ship “MCS ARIES” by carrying out a military landing operation near the strait, noting that the ship was flying the Portuguese flag and was managed by the “ZODIAC” company owned by the Israeli businessman Eyal Ofer. She confirmed that the ship is currently being transferred to Iranian waters.

Tasnim International News Agency reported that the Revolutionary Guard Navy forces seized, on Saturday, a cargo ship belonging to the Zionist entity in the Arabian Gulf.

Earlier, the British maritime security agencies UKMTO and EMBRI reported that a ship had been seized by “regional authorities” 50 nautical miles off the coast of Fujairah, the Emirates.

Ambrey noted that she had seen "still footage of at least three individuals descending from a helicopter onto what appears to be a cargo ship," noting that this method had been "previously used by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Navy."
