Khalifa foundation distributes Ramadan supplies (WAM) 21 July 2010, Abu Dhabi - The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Charity Foundation continues for the third year in row the distribution of Ramadan supplies for deserved needy families. The distribution comes in form of coupons to be received by beneficiaries from cooperative societies across the country. The number of beneficary households will reach 44, 900 at the end of the huge humanitarian project. Khalifa Charity Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Social affairs specified 24 distribution centres’ nationwide. The move aims to ensure easy access of to targeted categories who will receive the Ramadan supplies this year. The supplies this year include 11 varieties of food items, in addition to 20 tons of dry food. Several surveys had been been conducted so far conducted. They advocated changes in some food items upon the requests of respondents. The Khalifa Charity Foundation targets several groups in the society, notably, needy families and orphans in UAE and other African and Asian countries. The Foundation aims through supporting such project to strengthen the bonds with community members, assist needy families, alleviate the suffering of poor families and spread happiness and joy during the Holy month of Ramadan. |
