Since the attack, Ankara has launched air strikes on the Kurdish guerilla group, the PKK, in northern Iraq which has been met with fierce criticism by those who say Turkey should focus on its Isil enemy and not the Kurds.
Mr Arinc is no stranger to making comments deemed sexist after he caused controversy in July last year telling women they should not laugh out loud.
Bulent Arinc (R) and Deputy Prime Minister Yalcin Akdogan (L) attend during an extraordinary meeting at the Turkish parliament in Ankara
During an Eid ul-Fitr meeting (which is celebrated at the end of the holy month of Ramadan), Mr Arinc also said women should also not speak of trivial matters on the phone.
He urged men and women to remember the importance of chastity during the meeting in Bursa, west Turkey, and to have an acute awareness of shame.
At the time women and celebrities including Emma Watson shared images of themselves laughing out loud using the hashtag, #direnkahkaha.
As his previous comments had done so, the latest incident annoyed many Turkish women on social media who used the hashtag #BirKadinOlarakSusmayacagiz (as women we are not going to be silent).
One user, Rozerin Tadik, on Twitter said in Turkish: "#KadinOlarakSusmayacagiz you must stay silent Arinc" while another tweeted a sarcastic cartoon suggesting the most 'womanly woman' says she does not know, Mr Arinc does.
