At least eight people shot dead in Germany

At least eight people have been killed and five others have been injured by gunfire in the German town of Hanau, east of Frankfurt, according to local reports. Regional broadcaster Hessenschau said two shooting incidents took place at two shisha bars in the city. Several roads have been blocked off and helicopters deployed as authorities search for the gunman.
