VIENNA-- Kuwaiti Ambassador to Romania Talal Al-Hajri highlighted Thursday Kuwait's humanitarian role in an event held in the cultural center of Romania in Pitesti, northern Bucharest.

Granting His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah the "Humanitarian Leader" title by the UN is part of the international community's recognition and appreciation of Kuwait's prominent humanitarian role, Al-Hajri said in his speech at an event focusing on Kuwait sponsored by the Romanian-Arab Club for Press and Culture.

He also shed light on Kuwait's efforts to resolve regional and international issues with neutral diplomacy, during its membership at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for 2018-2019.

Meanwhile, the ambassador noted that Kuwait seeks to spread knowledge about its culture in Romania. He hailed the strong Kuwaiti-Romanian ties, and the development in cooperation on all levels between the two sides.

Senior officials from Kuwait Embassy in Romania and Romania's cultural center, as well as academics, media figures and students attended the event.
