Sydney – Middle East Times Int’l: The final statement of the 34th Ordinary Session of the Arab Summit, held in Baghdad, delivered by Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid, affirmed "support for Lebanon in confronting challenges and preserving its security and stability."
Rashid noted that "the statement affirms the absolute rejection of the displacement of the Palestinian people, the necessity of allowing humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, and urges the international community to exert pressure to halt the bloodshed in Gaza." He noted that "the statement also calls for a political solution to end the conflict in Sudan and condemns the Zionist attacks on Syria." |
