Sydney-Middle East Times Int'l:
The new Lebanese Minister of Justice, Adel Nassar, said in an exclusive interview with Sky News Arabia that his priorities during the coming period will focus on achieving judicial independence and supporting the investigation into the Beirut port explosion.
The Minister of Justice added that "the Lebanese were waiting for the new government formations so that the judiciary would be activated and everyone would get their rights."
Beirut Port Investigation
The Lebanese minister explained that "society cannot accept the failure to complete the investigation into the Beirut port explosion case. It is a major national demand. I am part of this society and I will not accept anything less than for this case to reach its desired results."
Judicial Independence Law
In this context, he told Sky News Arabia that "the law must be passed and voted on in the House of Representatives so that we can achieve true independence in the judiciary."
He stressed that "this is the main title of the Minister of Justice in Lebanon, and it is my duty to expedite it."
