This historic ruling asserts jurisdiction over Twitter Australia Holdings Pty Limited and X Corp, holding global social media companies accountable for content that violates Australian hate speech laws.

The action by the Australian Muslim Advocacy Network Ltd (AMAN), marks a significant step forward in ensuring that social media platforms adhere to the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld) and may have nationwide implications. The decision underscores the importance of maintaining a respectful and inclusive online environment, free from content that incites hatred and discrimination.
