Sydney - Middle East Times Int’l: The Emir of the State of Kuwait, Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, received today, Wednesday, Prime Minister Ahmed Abdullah Al-Sabah, and the ministers and members of the government to take the constitutional oath.
According to the Kuwait News Agency, the Emir of Kuwait issued an Emiri order this morning, requiring the Prime Minister to be addressed by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister. The Amir of Kuwait addressed the new government, stressing that it must make a great effort to achieve actual achievements on the ground.
His Highness stressed the need to adhere to strong principles and national unity, pointing out that the goal is to achieve a comprehensive renaissance for Kuwait of the present and the future, stressing the accountability of those who fail to perform their work.
The Emir of Kuwait also directed the new government to accelerate the implementation of long-awaited development projects, taking into account transparency and preserving public money.
This comes days after an Amiri decree issued last Sunday evening in Kuwait, stipulating the formation of the new government headed by Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and including 13 ministers.
