OMAN: MoH shuts three private hospitals for violations

Jul 27, 2022

Muscat: The Ministry of Health on Wednesday said it has permanently closed down three private health institutions in the Sultanate of Oman for failing to meet quality standards.

MoH also suspended 18 other private health institutions temporarily, withdrew clinical privileges from some medical personnel, and suspended two private specialized health institutions.

MoH has also issued warnings to 66 private health institutions for not adhering to the quality standards required in health services, obligating them to correct their conditions and remove all observations as stipulated in the regulatory procedures.

A total of 34 private health institutions have received warnings from the ministry for advertising in social media without obtaining a prior licence.
