KUWAIT-- Information and Culture Minister Dr. Hamad Rouheddine said Tuesday that big participation in the third GCC games currently hosted in Kuwait is the most important achievement.

Speaking to KUNA in a statement after honoring Kuwaiti player Issa al-Zanoki who won the gold medal in discus, Rouheddine added the contribution of the best Gulf players in the tournament has made robust contests.

He pointed to keenness of the government to back Gulf and Kuwaiti athletes that was shown in this sports gathering, extolling the games' organizing committee.

Rouheddine hoped for hosting further key championships and competitions in the country to improve local sports movement.
