Rahi condemns Tayouneh incident

Lebanon - Maronite Patriarch Beshara Boutros Rahi, condemned Sunday the events that took place in the area of Tayouneh last Thursday, which resulted in the death and injury of many innocent people.

"Our Hearts are torn to shreds for what happened last Thursday, we condemn the use of the weapons among brothers of one country and we offer our condolences to the families of the victims,” Rahi said on Sunday during the Mass service in Bkerki this morning.

Rahi also praised the army's role in defining the conflict sites and showed that the legitimate institution is stronger than any other force.

Finally, he called the on the youth to express their will in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
