Violence in Gaza: Seven were killed, including children, as their home was targeted by Israeli raids

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that at least seven people, including women and children, were killed by an Israeli air strike that targeted a house in the early hours of Saturday morning in a refugee camp in the western Gaza Strip.

Yousef Abu al-Rish, Director of Health Affairs in Gaza, said it was "a massacre of women and children in their homes, which claimed the lives of four children and a number of women."

Hamas fired a barrage of rockets towards the southern city of Beersheba.

Warning sirens sounded in the cities of the southern region of Israel to warn of rockets coming from Gaza, which Hamas claimed responsibility for firing.

"We fired rockets at Beersheba, in response to the targeting of a safe house in the Al-Shati refugee camp," said the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas.
