Question from one of the former prime ministers to the "Shiite duo"

September 22, 2020 -

One of the former heads of government told the Republic: There is no room for accepting a transgression of the constitution and Taif. I ask the "Amal" movement, and Hezbollah, why this late recovery by the Ministry of Finance, and whether this recovery facilitates the formation of The government or to keep the situation as it is? I do not know.”

He added: "We will not respond to the offence that affects us for we were, and are still, advocates of realism and rationality, and everyone's co-operation in launching the government at a time when Lebanon is in dire need of action."

The former prime minister revealed that consultations between former heads of government were open and they were in constant contact with the designated prime minister. “We will certainly have a position in light of the developments in the authorship file, and I think very soon.”
