Japan’s Foreign Ministry hands Lebanon Emergency Relief Goods 11 Aug 2020

Lebanon - Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday issued a statement indicating that emergency relief goods were handed over on August 10, 2020 from Japan to Lebanon at Rafik Hariri International Airport.

“This assistance is to provide emergency relief goods including tents, sleeping pads, blankets and others through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to Lebanon in response to the damages caused by the tragic event in Beirut. The relief goods will be distributed to those who have been affected,” the statement added.

“The Government of Japan prays for the resurrection of Lebanon at the earliest possible time and stands ready to provide the necessary cooperation,” the statement concluded.
