GEAGEA Criticizes Government's Performance From Toronto

 13 Oct 2019

Canada - Lebanese Forces Leader, Samir Geagea, staunchly criticized the performane of the Lebanese gpverment, saying: "How wouldn't the situation be so bad with a national unity government that includes parties with state thefts as their only common point?"

Geagea added that his party had proposed a reform document of 30 articles last month, and is always working to find effective and constructive solutions.

The LF leader regretted that the document presented by his party was not taken into account by the ministerial committee to discuss budget reforms, while officials have only promised to conduct some reforms such as the promulgation of the law on tax evasion.

He also pointed out that "the problem lies not only in the enactment of laws, but also in the relevant departments that are not working properly."
