KUWAIT--  His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, on Monday, attended the inauguration ceremony of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's Sports Center for the Visually Impaired at the Kuwait Blind Association (KBA) in Maidan Hawally area.

KBA's Chairman Fayez Al-Azmi delivered a speech and then a video about the progress of this sports project for the blind was presented, focusing on the expected duration of the project completion.

On his part, His Highness the Prime Minister said in a statement after the ceremony that the government ascribed great importance to people with various disabilities in accordance to the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

The provision of these support programs for the disabled will be reflected positively in their potential, benefiting themselves and the community, he explained.

His Highness hoped that this sports project would develop the skills and abilities of blind children, showing the potential of Kuwait's championships in various events, through local and international levels.
