PRESIDENT AOUN Attends Mass Service in Beiteddine

 18 Aug 2019

Lebanon - President of the Republic, Michel Aoun, and First Lady, Nadia Chami Aoun, attended on Sunday a Mass service presided by Sidon's Maronite bishop, Maroun Ammar, in Beiteddine.

Having recited verses from the New Testament gospels of Mathew, the Bishop welcomed President in Beiteddine, stressing the importance of his presence in the Shouf area.

"Your presence in Beiteddine promotes and encourages a safe and stable return to [Christians in the Chouf]," Ammar told the president.

He also praised the president's speech to a delegation from the mountain, calling it a "reassuring speech."

Finally, Ammar said: "God bless your good endeavors so that the homeland and your presence with the people of Beiteddine today remains a source of joy and happiness."
