The aid is part of Emirates Red Crescent's humanitarian programme to help those affected by the Houthi coup

August 21, 2017

Emirates Red Crescent distributed food to underprivileged families, orphans and widows in the Habban district in the Yemeni governorate of Shabwa on Monday.

The drive was part of the charity’s programme that aims to ease the Yemeni people’s difficult economic and humanitarian conditions caused by the Houthi coup, said Mohammed Al Muhairi, head of the ERC team in Shabwa.

The beneficiaries thanked the ERC and the UAE for their continued support, reported state news agency Wam.
