Israeli violations against Palestinians "vital human right issue" -- Kuwaiti diplomat

27/06/2016

GENEVA-- Kuwait expressed Sunday its discontent towards some countries failure to address the amounting Israeli violations against the Palestinians during the proceedings of the 32nd meeting for the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC).

Kuwait Permanent Envoy to the United Nations and international organizations headquarters Ambassador Jamal Al-Ghunaim said that it was paramount for the world to address the harrowing human rights abuses suffered by the Palestinians on the hands of the Israeli occupiers.

Around 70 years have passed since Israel have took control of Arab and Palestinian lands, said Ambassador Al-Ghunaim who called on the human rights council to take some serious measures to halt Israeli violations.

He said that Israel had killed and mistreated Palestinians during its occupation of their lands, adding that no one was being spared from acts which are violating basic human rights.

Al-Ghunaim called on the international community to end the unjust situation, affirming that Kuwait will do what was necessary to support Palestinians and bring justice to the suffering people.
