14th April 2015

The Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation-Global, chaired by HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, supported the victims of Hurricane Pam, which hit the Vanuatu Islands in the Pacific Ocean and led to widespread destruction. The hurricane claimed the lives of dozens and displaced 3,300 people. Alwaleed Foundation donated 100,000 dollars towards saving the lives of 103 affected families.

Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation immediately worked with its strategic partner, Habitat for Humanity (HFH) to support families who had their homes destroyed by the hurricane. The Pam is the most destructive hurricane in Pacific Ocean’s history. This collaboration aims to build new homes and renovate units destroyed by the hurricane.

Habitat for Humanity is a well-established organization in the field of philanthropy, with worldwide economical and environmentally-friendly housing projects in more than 70 countries.

The Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundations are involved in a wide spectrum of humanitarian and philanthropic activities in more than 90 countries.
