 10/09/2014

The Cultural Programmes and Heritage Festivals Committee - Abu Dhabi is to take part in The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, ADIHEX, which kicks off its 12th session tomorrow, September 10th, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

During the four day event, the organisation is set to showcase the U.A.E.'s heritage through both tangible and intangible aspects of Emirati identity, which the authority will present in both Arabic and English, highlighting the U.A.E.'s hunting and fishing traditions.

Mohammed Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Advisor for Culture and Heritage in the Court of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Director-General of the committee said, "The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition is a traditional, effective, and comprehensive cultural event, full of various rare collectibles and portraits." Al Mazrouei went on to say that the authority follows in the footsteps of the nation's founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who was an avid protector of U.A.E.'s heritage and who called for the need to preserve Emirati heritage as a source of pride for generations to come.
