OMAN: Minister visits TV studio at SCAS

SUR — Dr Abdulmunim bin Mansour al Hasani, Minister of Information, yesterday paid a visit to Sur College of Applied Sciences (SCAS) to get acquainted with the College’s TV Studio and majors. Dr Abdulmunim met with Dr Abdullah bin Mohammad al Sarmi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Dr Abdullah bin Ali al Shibli, Director-General of the Colleges of Applied Sciences, and Dr Said bin Nasser al Farsi, Dean of SCAS, faculty and students of the Department of Communication Studies in the College. The minister was briefed on the work mechanism of the TV studio at the Department of Communication Studies and opened the photography exhibition for the students of the Department of Communication Studies.

He was also briefed on the majors at SCAS, especially Department of Communication Studies, which offers various media specialties and listened to the opinions of the students that that would enhance theory with practice. It is worth mentioning that SCAS, in addition to Nizwa College of Applied Sciences, and Salalah College of Applied Sciences, are the centres for Communication Studies Program in the fields of Digital Media, Media Management, Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising and International Communication.
