Abdullah bin Zayed granted Honorary Citizenship of Kosovan city of Prizren

Prizren: Ramadan Muja, Mayor of the city of Prizren in Kosovo, has bestowed upon H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, the title of "Honorary Citizen of the city of Prizren".

Sheikh Abdullah was granted the title during a working dinner hosted by the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Bahgat Bassole, in the presence of Enver Hoxhaj, Kosovan Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Sheikh Abdullah's accompanying delegation Sheikh Abdullah expressed his thanks to the Mayor of the city of Prizren on the honour he received during a joint press conference with Enver Hoxhaj.

He expressed his happiness with the development of the relationship between the UAE and Kosovo, and confidence that his meetings in Kosovo will contribute to enhancing their good relationship, highlighting the fact that the UAE is seeking to strengthen its ties with Kosovo.

He pointed to UAE and Kosovo's intentions to sign more important agreements during the coming period.

Sheikh Abdullah stressed that the UAE was one of the first countries to recognise the Republic of Kosovo in 2008 and contributed to the mobilisation of other countries' recognition of the nation, highlighting the UAE's support for Kosovo's membership in the United Nations and other international organisations.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah re-affirmed that he is looking forward to further cooperation in all fields and continuing to strengthen relations with Kosovo.
