Prince Alwaleed Receives Portuguese Ambassador to Discuss Economic Issues

HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company, received at his office, HE Mr. Antonio Botelho de Sousa Portuguese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Nahla Nasser Alanbar, Private Executive Assistant to HRH the Chairman.

The meeting began as Mr. Antonio thanked HRH for receiving him and conveyed warm regards from the government and people of Portugal. The Portuguese Ambassador and the Prince also discussed a number of topics related to economic bi-lateral ties between Saudi Arabia and Portugal. Also on the agenda of discussions were investment issues especially in light of Prince Alwaleed’s local, regional and international investments in various sectors such as banking, real estate, media and hotels.

Moreover, during the meeting, the Ambassador referred to the long and strong friendship Portugal has with Arab countries. Mr. Antonio also referred to investment opportunities in Portugal and invited HRH to visit his country. Furthermore, the Ambassador commended Prince Alwaleed on his achievements that have propelled the wheel of economic development. In response, His Highness welcomed the idea to invest in Portugal and promised to visit the country in the near future.
