Saudi King appoints new Riyadh governor

Manama: Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud on Thursday appointed Prince Khalid Bin Bandar Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud as Governor of Riyadh with the rank of minister.

The Saudi News Press (SPA), the official agency, said that Prince Turki Bin Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud was appointed as deputy to Prince Khalid, also with the rank of minister, to replace Prince Mohammad Bin Sa’ad Bin Abdul Aziz who had resigned.

Prince Khalid graduated in Oriental Studies from Pembroke College and Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. He replaces Prince Sattam Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud who died this week and was buried on Wednesday in Makkah.
