Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum received yesterday at his Zabeel Palace Spanish Defence Minister Pedro Morenes Eulate and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting touched on bilateral relations and military cooperation.

His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, yesterday received at Al Bahr Palace the Mayor of Berlin, Klaus Wowereit, who is currently visiting the country.
Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the German official, saying that the visit will further push forward the friendship and ties of cooperation between the UAE and Germany.
During their meeting, they discussed trade, economic, investment, education, energy and transport relations and ways to develop them.
The Mayor of Berlin expressed his pleasure at visiting the UAE and meeting the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, who briefed him about the UAE's economic and cultural openness. He said that his country is looking forward to building more partnerships with the UAE. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister has welcomed the national dialogue in Bahrain, which will kick off on Sunday under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain.
Sheikh Abdullah extended the UAE's best wishes for success of the dialogue to achieve its goals in ensuring the security and stability.
He urged all the parties concerned to participate actively and positively to make the dialogue successful and bring about prosperity to the Kingdom.

King Abdullah II of Jordan paid a visit yesterday to the tomb of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
King Abdullah and his delegation which included Dr Fayez Al Tarawna, Chief of the Royal Court and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Jouda, was accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Presidential Aviation Authority.

H. H. Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council member and ruler of Sharjah yesterday received Jack Lang, head of France's Arab World Institute, or the Institut du Monde Arabe (IMA) and former Culture French Minister, who is leading a delegation to the UAE on a current visit.
In remarks at the meeting, Sheikh Sultan about Sharjah's cultural projects and its interest in raising generation on sound cultural grounds.
He also explained to the delegation the cultural evolution in the UAE.
Sheikh Sultan also noted that he is authoring a book on French-Iranian relations.
For his part, Lang emphasized that building cultural relations with Sharjah makes the emirate as a cultural gateway to the UAE and the all other Arab countries. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
Sana'a: Feb 4th, 2013 (WAM) -- Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation under the supervision of the UAE Embassy in Sana'a has distributed 7400 food baskets to needy families in the Rawdha area of the Bani al-Harith in the Yemeni capital Sana'a.
This came within a program developed by the Khalifa Foundation to implement the directives of His Highness the President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan's Dh500 million food-aid for Yemen.
The Khalifa Foundation mission is implementing the third phase of the distribution process aiming to reach ten thousand destitute families in Sana'a.
The Khalifa Foundation has carried out two phases of the humanitarian program during which about 85000 food baskets to needy families have been distributed, with one basket each family, reaching out to the governorates of Abyan, Hodeidah, Hadramout, Aden, Socotra.
The foundation mission adopted the distribution of food in exchange of coupons, coordinating the process with local officials in the Yemeni districts to account for the total number of needy families in every neighborhood and allocate coupons in their names to ensure just distribution of the foodstuff directly to the families.
Ali Mohsen al-Zindani, regional official of Difaa neighborhood in Rawdha, Sana'a has confirmed to Emirates News Agency (WAM) that the distribution process took place on a regular basis and without any hindrance. He also expressed gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Khalifa Foundation for this humanitarian initiative and the generous support provided to the Yemeni people, noting that the UAE is always known for its humanitarian acts towards Yemen and its people. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
