Mohammed bin Zayed receives senior British Defence official

His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has received at the Armed Forces Officers' Club British chief of defence staff, General Sir David Richards and the delegation accompanying.

Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the visit of the British official, lauding the highest level of the UAE- British relations. He referred to the growing cooperation ties between the two sides.

The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and the British official discussed the cooperation ties and friendship between the two countries, especially in the defence and military areas. They stressed the keenness of both sides on safeguarding the security, stability and peace in the region.

The two sides also exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments.  - Emirates News Agency, WAM

 

Abdullah bin Zayed receives British counterpart

Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan received here yesterday British Foreign Minister William Hague who is currently on a visit to the UAE.

Sheikh Abdullah and Hague discussed ways to enhance bilateral ties, as well as topics of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by Director of the Foreign Minister's Office Mohammed Mahmoud Al Khaja, British Ambassador Dominic Jeremy and Director for Middle East and North Africa at the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office David Quarrey.  - Emirates News Agency, WAM
