St George Community Awards

Member for Oatley Mark Coure congratulates the individuals and community groups that were recognised at the annual St George Community Awards

"The awards were open to any individual or community group who lives in the local area or works for a St George based community organisation" said Mr Coure.

"The awards are a way of saying thank you to the many volunteers and community organisations that work to make our area a better place".

"There were a number of awards on offer that recognise achievements from a diversity of fields".

"I believe that it is very important that we recognise the services that our volunteers provide, they are truly the glue that holds our community together".

"I am proud to represent an area that is so community minded and I look forward to recognising the extensive contributions that some individuals make to our area".

"The NSW Government is focused on encouraging community involvement and aims to increase the number of people involved in community organisations and who volunteer on a regular basis".

"I am committed to being an energetic community based Member of Parliament who strives to improve services in our community and recognise the hard work of the people who dedicate themselves to helping others".

"I look forward to presenting this year's awards and would like to congratulate the efforts of everyone who helps to make the St George Region the place that it is" Mr Coure concluded.
