AMCHIT, Mount Lebanon-- Representative of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) in Lebanon Dr. Mohammad Sadegi said on Saturday the Fund seeks to support and fund projects and activities in all sectors and areas without exception, especially humanitarian, social and economic ones that have developmental returns for the country.

This came in a statement by Dr. Sadegi to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) during the visit of a delegation of Kuwaiti top high-school students to Amchit within a tour prepared by the Fund.

The delegation visited the (Sports Club Complex), which is one of the exemplary projects addressed to the sport and fits all segment of children up to the first generation as well as it has an extension of the activity and the development process in Lebanon.

Sadegi said that the Sports Club Complex helps create a healthy society for a fair competition, stressing that it is a basis and a model of education and "this is our goal to help reconstruction in Lebanon and instill hope in young people and children." He said the cost of this project is about USD 1.5 with an area of 600,000 square meters which is in its final stages.

He expected opening of the complex at the end of next May under the auspices of Lebanese President Michel Suleiman.
