Qurtuba University awards Al-Babtain for cultural contributions

KUWAIT -- Qurtuba University in Spain awarded the Chairman of Foundation of Abdul Aziz Saud Al-Babtain's Prize for Poetic Creativity poet Abdulaziz Al-Babtain a prize in recognition of remarkable scientific achievements by the foundation.

A press release said Al-Babtain was honored in a ceremony held at the university, in which he expressed his appreciation and thanks.

The renowned Kuwaiti figure stressed that the concept of dialogue among civilizations should be boosted between people from various cultures, pointing out that Kuwait cherishes tolerance and welcomes such approach.

Al-Babtain said that the King of Spain Juan Carlos who offered him Spain's highest medal, the Civil Service Merit Cross, supported the tainting courses of the Foundation organized at the University since 2004, on Arabic Language.

The said program served more than 637 people.
