Omani Information Minister chairs Muscat Book Fair Committee meeting

MUSCAT — Hamad bin Mohammed al Rashdi, Minister of Information, chaired a meeting of the Muscat International Book Fair Committee yesterday. The 2010 book fair will be held at Oman International Exhibition Centre from February 23 to March 5. The meeting was attended by Shaikh Hamad bin Hilal al Maamari, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture for Cultural Affairs (the deputy chairman of the committee), Shaikh Abdullah bin Shuwain al Hosni, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Information (assistant chairman of the committee), Ali bin Mohammed Zaabanout, Director-General of Information, Yusuf bin Ibrahim al Balushi, Acting Director-General of Organizations and Cultural Relations at the Ministry of Heritage and Culture (Director of the fair), and Hilal bin Salim al Badi, Deputy Director of Public Relations and Information at the Sultan Qaboos University. The book fair will be opened by Heritage and Culture Minister, His Highness Sayyid Haitham bin Tareq al Said.
