Mohamed bin Zayed receives Belarus' President

His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the U.A.E. Armed Forces received yesterday, the visiting President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko.

The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince welcomed the Belarusian President and his accompanying delegation and discussed the state of friendship and cooperation ties between the U.A.E. and Belarus, focussing on ways to enhance them for the benefit of the two friendly peoples.

H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy National Security Advisor, attended the meeting.

They also tackled the issue of bilateral relations between the two sides and other issues of mutual interest.

The two sides also exchanged views on the level of the existing relations and ways to encourage partnerships among various sectors in the U.A.E. and Belarus, especially development of economic and investment ties to serve the two countries in the best way possible.

Sheikh Mohamed said that the U.A.E., led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is keen on building constructive relations with all countries across the world in cultural, educational, economic, trade and other fields.

On his part, Lukashenko expressed his happiness at visiting the U.A.E. and familiarising with its urban and developmental experiences, citing his country's desire to develop its relations with the U.A.E. in areas that benefit the two friendly peoples. They also exchanged views on a number of latest international and regional developments.

Among those who attended the meeting from the U.A.E. side were Ali Mohammed Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council, Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court. From the Belarus side, the participants included Victor Lukashenko, Belarus' National Security Advisor and Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the U.A.E. Roman Golovchenko and members of the visiting delegation.
