Japan Crown Prince receives Oman's Minister of Heritage and Culture Sayyid Haitham

TOKYO — Crown Prince of Japan Kotaishi Naruhito Shinno received HH Sayyid Haitham bin Tareq al Said, Minister of Heritage and Culture at his Palace in Tokyo yesterday. The Minister is currently visiting Japan to attend the third Symposium for Sultan Qaboos Scientific Chairs.

During the meeting, HH Sayyid Haitham conveyed the greetings, best wishes of good health and prosperity of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos to the Emperor of Japan and best wishes of continuous progress and development for the friendly people of Japan.

On is part, Japan Crown Prince requested HH Sayyid Haitham to convey the greetings of Emperor Akihito of Japan to HM the Sultan along with his best wishes of good health and happiness and for the Omani people further progress and prosperity.

The audience touched on the existing cooperation relations between the two friendly countries and means of developing them in all fields, as well as issue of mutual interest.

The two sides stressed during the audience on the importance of the 3rd Sultan Qaboos Scientific Chairs Symposium which will start today in Tokyo University under the patronage of the Crown Prince of Japan, on the theme ‘Water Resources Management for Sustainable Development’. They also stressed the importance of the recommendations that will come out of the Symposium. They hailed HM the Sultan’s interest to establish scientific chairs at the different world universities, which will serve the life, intellectual, environment ,society and human aspects.
