Ambassador Sheibani looking into the Kuwait National Team reception arrangements for Asia Cup

Canberra: Khalid Al-Shaibani Kuwait's Ambassador to Australia and New Zealand considered today the Australian preparations for the Football Championship Asia Cup 2015 and receiving teams by the chairman and members of the Executive Committee organizing  the tournament in which the Kuwaiti national team is playing.

The meeting, held at the Kuwaiti embassy in Canberra discussed all the necessary arrangements to organize and receive the 15 countries teams participating in the Asian championship. They discussed also the facilities to be provided by the Committee to the fans of the teams participating in the tournament.

Ambassador Shaibani pointed out that the Kuwait National Football Team will play the opening match against the Australian host of the tournament in the city of (Melbourne) on the ninth of January next year where it will be in the first group in the tournament besides Australia, South Korea and Oman.

The activities of The AFC Asian Cup 2015 to be hosted by Australia next January will be held with the participation of the following teams: State of Kuwait, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Palestine, Iraq, Jordan, South Korea, North Korea, China and Uzbekistan.

The Kuwait National Team has won the football championship, which took place in the State of Kuwait in 1980, where he was the first Arab team to win the cup.
