Oman, Jordan bolster relations

MUSCAT — His Majesty Sultan Qaboos and King Abdullah of Jordan have held a meeting at Bait Al Baraka last evening during which they exchanged cordial conversation and reviewed the fraternal relations binding the Sultanate of Oman and Jordan as well as the aspects of bilateral cooperation with the aim of bolstering ties between the two peoples and achieve their aspirations to further progress and prosperity. The meeting was attended by His Highness Prince Ghazi bin Mohammed and Dr Omar bin Abdulmunim al Zawawi, Special Adviser to His Majesty the Sultan for External Liaison. King Abdullah arrived here yesterday on a private visit to the Sultanate. Earlier, His Majesty the Sultan led the welcome party for King Abdullah and the accompanying delegation upon their arrival at the Royal airport.

Also present at the reception were Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidy, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office; Nasr bin Hamoud al Kindi, Secretary-General of Royal Court Affairs; Dr Omar bin Abdulmunim al Zawawi; Muteb al Zain Sultanate’s Ambassador to Jordan and the embassy staff. The visit comes within the context of bilateral cooperation and fraternal relations binding Oman and Jordan and in a bid to achieve further aspirations of the peoples of Oman and Jordan. King Abdullah is accompanied by HH Prince Ghazi and His Highness Amir al Faiz, head of Royal Protocol. — ONA
