Nabil AlSaleh the New Saudi Ambassador to Australia

H.E. Nabil Ben Mohamed Abdel Rahman AlSaleh arrived in the Australian capital Canberra, to undertake his duties as Saudi ambassador to Australia. Upon his arrival at the airport, he was welcomed by Sally Mansfield Chief of Protocol at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Reda bin Abdul Mohsen al-Nuzha deputy Ambassador, Dr Abdulaziz bin Talib the cultural attaché, as well as Arab ambassadors to Australia, Managers of technical offices, and staff members of the embassy and cultural attaché.

Ambassador AlSaleh made a press statement upon his arrival, expressing both his pride in the supreme confidence placed in him on his appointment as ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and also his honor in servicing the Kingdom and its people in Australia. The Ambassador also praised the existing bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Australia.

Ambassador "AlSaleh" holds a Master degree in Business Administration from the United States. He has held several high ranking positions including: Director of the Office of State for Economic and Cultural Affairs in 1990, Director of the Economic Research Unit in London from 1990 to 1994,  and AD and Consul General of the Kingdom in Geneva from 2004 till 2012.  He participated in many international conferences and joint bilateral committees on economic and cultural cooperation between the Kingdom and many other countries, many where he was a member of the Kingdom’s delegation. He also twice participated in sessions of the General Assembly of the United Nations, as well as the Non-Aligned Summit and the peace conference in Madrid.
