RIFI: An international decision to maintain security and stability in Lebanon
Danniyeh's Sons Association Honours General Ashraf Rifi in Sydney

At its Bass Hill centre, the Danniyeh 's Sons Association held a dinner in honour of the former Director-General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Ashraf Rifi, during his visit to Australia .
Prominent attendees included Tony Issa (the state MP for Granville), Shaoquett Moselmane MLC, Sheikh Malik Zaidan (the representative for the Dar Al-Fatwa) as well as municipal, political , social and media figures, businessmen and a large crowd of Danniyeh and members of the Lebanese community
The chairman of the Danniyeh' s Sons association, Haj Wajih Howshar praised General Rifi as a man of sincerity and loyalty, a son of Tripoli (Al Fayhaa).
He added that General Rifi had become the conscience of Tripoli, which needs some one to save it, not by fighting but through dialogue.
Howshar also gave a special greeting to the Anwar Harb, saying his presence at the ceremony meant a lot.
In turn, General Rifi praised Danniyeh , expressing his pride in belonging to Tripoli.
He confirmed that there is an international decision to maintain security and stability in Lebanon.
General Rifi said that although the challenges were numerous and the options limited (such as training, experience and equipment), they accepted the challenge, and martyrdom, instead of retreat.
``We have proved our national duty, and worked on the development of the internal security forces, and promote cooperation with most countries of the world.’’
He expressed his pride in strengthening relations with Australia through communications between Lebanese and Australian security, and saluted Lebanese President Michel Suleiman.
General Rifi also presented the internal security forces award to the chairman of Danniyeh's Sons Association, Haj Wajih Howshar.
