Prince Alwaleed Receives Ambassador of Spain to Saudi Arabia to Discuss Economic Issues

HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company, received at his office, His Excellency Pablo Bravo, Spanish Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Nahla Al Anbar, Personal Executive Assistant to HRH the Chairman.

The meeting began as the ambassador thanked the Prince for giving him the opportunity to meet as it was his first meeting with HRH since he took up his post as Ambassador of Spain to Saudi Arabia. The two discussed a number of issues including the warm friendship between their two countries. The Ambassador also relayed cordial regards from His Majesty King Juan Carlos of Spain.

In addition, the meeting touched upon the repercussions of the economic crisis on Spain’s economy and the two also discussed investment issues. The Prince said the crisis had affected the whole world, however the Saudi economy and the private sector are doing well. Furthermore, Mr. Bravo presented the Prince with various opportunities for investment in Spain.

In conclusion to the meeting, Prince Alwaleed referred to the long and warm established relationship between Saudi Arabia and Spain especially since they shared a common history. In addition, the Prince asked the Ambassador to relay cordial regards to His Majesty King Juan Carlos.

In 2007, HRH received at his office in Riyadh, Princess Corina Zu Sayn-Wittgenstein, Representative of the His Majesty King Juan Carlos of Spain and hosted a luncheon in honor of his guest at Kingdom Resort.

In April 2006, Princess Corina accompanied King Carlos and a Spanish delegation to Saudi Arabia on an Official State visit as Strategic Advisor to the delegation.
