Russia hails Oman’s role in security in the region and combating piracy

President Dmitry Medvedev of Russia received at the Kremlin Mohammed bin Awadh al Hassan, who presented his credentials to the President as the Sultanate’s Ambassador to Russia. The ambassador conveyed the greetings and best wishes of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos to President Medvedev, along with His Majesty’s best wishes of further progress and prosperity to the friendly people of Russia.

President Medvedev asked the ambassador to convey his greetings and best wishes to His Majesty the Sultan. He wished the Omani people further progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Majesty the Sultan. President Medvedev said his country is looking forward to enhancing commercial and economic co-operation with the Sultanate. He commended the efforts made by the Sultanate in maintaining security in the region and combating piracy.
