Mohamed bin Zayed, Serbian President discuss bilateral ties of friendship, cooperation

BELGRADE: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and President Aleksandar Vucic of Serbia discussed on Wednesday ways of boosting bilateral ties of friendship and cooperation as well as a range of regional and global issues of mutual concern.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed conveyed regards of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the Serbian president and his wishes for further progress and prosperity to the friendly Serbia people.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed congratulated President Aleksandar Vucic on assuming the presidency of Serbia, wishing him success in his mission. H.H. said the UAE was looking forward to continue constructive work with Belgrade regarding issues of interest to both countries.

The Serbia president asked Sheikh Mohamed to reciprocate his best wishes to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his wishes for further progress and prosperity to the UAE people.

President Aleksandar Vucic affirmed his country's desire to expand relations with the UAE, given its high-profile status it reached internationally, its distinguished ties and constructive cooperation with other countries as well as its progress and development in all walks of life.

Sheikh Mohamed lauded the advanced level of progress reached by the Emirati-Serbia ties in political, economic and other spheres. H.H. said these ties were on promise for further growth in the years to come driven by factors for evolution including mutual political will, so as to reach close partnership.

The two sides said they were looking forward to furthering cooperation and coordination and to expanding economic and investment partnerships.

They also exchanged views on current international developments and issues of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-secretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court and Juma Rashid Saif Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Serbia.
