Mohamed bin Zayed receives Australian PM, discusses co-operation

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received the visiting Prime Minister of Australia, Malcolm Turnbull, at Al Shati Palace on Tuesday.

They discussed co-operation between the UAE and Australia in various trade, economic and investment domains, especially issues related to energy.

Sheikh Mohamed and Turnbull also reviewed their existing co-operation efforts, which has seen further progress and development due to the encouragement and support of the leadership in the two countries to enhance mutual relations in the best interest of both sides.

Sheikh Mohamed and Turnbull discussed several issues and the latest regional and global developments. They also emphasised the importance achieving stability, peace and finding peaceful solutions for crises seen by countries in the region as well as working together to fight terrorist organisations and drying up their sources.

Those who attended the meeting included Dr. Obaid Al Heri Salem Al Ketbi, UAE Ambassador to Australia, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority and Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi.

Arthur Milton Spiro, Ambassador of Australia to the UAE, and officials from Australia also attended the meeting.
